Recognizing that we are called to “make disciples of all nations,” our congregation strongly supports mission/service work by praying for and financially supporting workers in U.S. and international locations through Virginia Mennonite Missions and Mennonite Central Committee. Recently, our congregation has supported long-term mission workers in Southeast Asia, Italy, and Albania and short-term service projects with SWAP in Appalachia, Partners in Mission to Jamaica and E3Collective in refugee camps in the Middle East.
The entire congregation comes together each fall to purchase and pack 600 school supply kits for MCC to donate around the globe and to provide relief kit buckets each spring for MCC delivery to refugee camps and disaster areas. |
